Regain Your Smile – Replace Missing Teeth Permanently

Losing a tooth can affect more than just your appearance—it can impact your confidence, chewing ability, speech, and overall oral health. When a tooth is missing or damaged beyond repair, replacing it as soon as possible is essential to prevent bone loss, misalignment, and shifting of nearby teeth.

At Mountain View Endodontics, we offer state-of-the-art dental implants in Pleasant View, Layton and South Ogden, UT, designed to restore your smile’s natural beauty and strength. Our skilled implant dentists use advanced technology and precision techniques to replace missing teeth with lifelike, long-lasting implants that look, feel, and function just like your natural teeth. Whether you’ve lost a single tooth or multiple teeth, we’ll create a customized implant treatment plan that supports your long-term dental health and enhances your overall quality of life.

MISSING TEETH CAN BE REPLACED IN THREE WAYS

1. IMPLANTS

A dental implant is an artificial tooth root, usually made of titanium, placed into your jaw in the location of your missing tooth to support an artificial tooth. Dental implants have been successfully used for decades to replace missing teeth and are often the treatment of choice.

2. BRIDGE

A bridge is an appliance that fills in the space created by your missing tooth with an artificial tooth that is permanently cemented to the teeth adjacent to the missing tooth. Bridges cannot be removed from the mouth. They are commonly used to replace one or a few missing teeth. While bridges do replace missing teeth, they cause teeth adjacent to the missing tooth to bear the burden of biting forces that were previously supported by your missing tooth. Flossing is a bit more challenging with bridges as well, since the replacement tooth is connected to the adjacent teeth.

3. DENTURE

A removable partial denture is an appliance with artificial teeth that can be removed from your mouth. This option can be used to replace many missing teeth in the same jaw. If you are interested in this option, please ask your dentist for further information.

The Implant Process at Our Practice

Step 1 – Extraction & Site Preparation

If your tooth is fractured or decayed beyond repair, we’ll extract it carefully and evaluate the underlying bone. If bone loss is present, we may perform a graft to rebuild support for an implant.

Step 2 – Site Evaluation

After healing, we take targeted imaging to assess bone thickness and height, ensuring we avoid nerves, blood vessels or sinuses and get the implant in the ideal position for longevity and aesthetics.

Step 3 – Implant Placement

Your implant is positioned precisely under local anesthesia. If it’s stable immediately, we attach a healing abutment; if not, we allow healing under gum tissue for optimal osseointegration (bone-to-implant fusion).

Step 4 – Restoration

Approximately two months later (or sooner/faster if conditions allow), we take impressions and secure your custom crown over the implant. Final result: a tooth that looks, feels, and functions like your natural one.
